Here is an addition to my list of best family films that I just saw. I just got Nanny McPhee from Netflix and watched it, and went and got it from the video store. I know most movies I talk about are action, or violent, but this was an extrordinary movie, all that I watch family movies for. Predictable, but that isnt always bad- sometimes its a welcome change. You can just sit back and enjoy it, knowing they will all live happily ever after. This one was one of the best.
I think I saw the ad for that and it looked cute. I'm taking the kids to the Dollar Theater today to see Posiedon. I bought the 1970's one on DVD which had alot to do with me making a commitment to Christ at that time (I'll explain later if you want), and the kids liked it so I told them I would take them to this one. You can't replace Shelley Winters though as the old woman who was a former swimmer and helped save them even though she died from a heart attack. That scene did me in! Was the backslidden preacher guy Gene Hackman? I think so but he was really young there. Anyway, the Dollar Theater takes the movies after they leave the regular theater and they only charge, ummmmm, let's see, I forget.......oh yeah!..........a dollar! That's why I can afford to take ALL my kids! Whoo-hoo! Usually I do the DVD thing but once in a while it's fun to have the theater experience, right?
